In September, Poznań becomes the world capital of dentistry!

One city. Nearly 14 thousand dentistry specialists from 130 countries. Over 100 symposiums, an international exhibition of specialist materials and equipment as well as a scientific debate over the development directions of the dentistry sector. From September 7th, Poznań will host the 104th Annual FDI World Dental Congress 2016 - probably the largest event in this field of medicine ever organized in Poland.

The World Dental Federation - FDI (from the French Fédération Dentaire Internationale), located in Geneva, has been operating since 1900 and is the largest dentistry association in the world. It brings together 200 sectoral organizations whose common goals are, in the broadest sense, actions in the spectrum of dentistry development, using state-of-the-art technology in dentistry, education and raising social awareness about oral hygiene, as well as diligence in raising the standards of dental treatment. The yearly congress is aimed not only at dentists themselves, but also at medical students, dental hygienists and technicians and other employees of dental clinics and surgeries.

The organizers of the event in Poland are the FDI World Dental Federation, the Polish Stomatological Association, the company Exactus and Poznań Congress Center with the support from Poznań Convention Bureau. Additional support is provided by the Supreme Medical Chamber. The Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region and Be Active Dentist Club are also partners of the event, and media support is provided by the Dental Tribune International, Gazeta Lekarska, Kwintesencja Publishing and the Infodent stomatology online portal.

The 104th World Dental Congress is not only a comprehensive scientific debate about stomatology. It is also the World Dental Exhibition, the proceedings of the World FDI Parliament, the World Oral Health Forum, the Women Dentists Worldwide Forum, meetings with experts or specialist workshops which all take place simultaneously with the FDI event. A detailed agenda of the event is available on the official FDI Congress Poznań 2016  website. Is it also noteworthy that participation in the scientific panels is awarded with educational points from the American Dental Association.

The schedule of the accompanying cultural events includes, among others, a celebratory banquet in the neo-Renaissance interiors of the Adam Mickiewicz University, a Polish Evening filled with culinary surprises from the Polish regional cuisine, concerts and performances organized especially for the FDI AWDC 2016 participants.

Among the many amenities offered to the FDI Congress participants, the organizers have provided air fare reductions, free Wi-Fi all around the congress and exhibition venues, free public transport, a plus-one offer, free entry to the World Dental Exhibition upon previous registration and the FDI 2016 mobile app.

Online participant registration is available till August 28th.
