The 19th century shelter, forming part of the fortress of Poznań, has become the key element of the structure of the venue and the heart of our restaurant.
The decor was inspired by a picture frame. It is exactly this element that repeats itself throughout the venue. At the main entrance, the visitors will see parts of a wooden frame which will outline the heart of the restaurant - the 19th century shelter - and will complete a beautiful image. The renovated shelter will also be decorated with a steel band. In the restaurant space, wooden frames will encircle the specialist pizza oven imported from Italy. Frame and picture elements will also repeat themselves on the hotel room walls.
The whole venue is a dialogue between tradition and modernity. On one hand, the guests will be greeted by an interesting, modernistic building, where they can have a tasty Sunday dinner with the family, and the businessmen visiting the city can host their conferences. On the other, the visitors will be able to see the original elements of the fortress, which help them experience the unique atmosphere of this place. The past has been highlighted in the architectural design and in the name itself „Fortezza” (Italian for „fortress”).
A green terrace has been set up on the shelter roof, whereas outside the restaurant entrance you will find a garden tempting the visitors to sit back, relax, listen to the birds chirping and savour the taste of authentic Italian pizza in Poznań city centre. A special, wood-fire pizza oven made from the Vesuvius lava has been imported here from Italy.
Next to the main restaurant you can find the shelter chambers – this is where you can have a candlelit dinner in an intimate, romantic atmosphere surrounded by the history-filled brick walls.
