
Polish Congress Ambassadors’ Gala 2017
This year Polish Congress Ambassadors' Gala was held on September 14th in ICE Kraków Congress Centre. During the ceremony 17 personages, who were especially involved in development of Polish meetings industry in 2016, received diplomas and titles of Honorary Polish Congress Ambassadors. Two of these prestigious distinctions were awarded to Poznań representatives. Another Poznań's initiative that gained recognition was the 104th Annual World Dental Congress FDI.
The Polish Congress Ambassadors’ Gala concludes another year of the Polish Congress Ambassadors program. The honorees are representatives of the science and business world, distinguished in the task of organizing prestigious meetings of an international range in Poland. The laureates from Poznan this time are professor Joanna Jozefowska, Poznań University of Technology and professor Tadeusz Wallas, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
Professor Joanna Józfesowska for over 20 years has been actively supporting organization of international events in Poland. One of the most significant of them was the last year's EURO 2016 - 28th European Conference on Operational Research, which gathered in Poznań 2500 participants from about 70 countries. Currently professor Józefowska is also involved in preparations for the 24th World Computer Congress, hosted in 2018 in Poznań. On the initiative of professor Tadeusz Wallas the 24th World Congress of Political Sciences IPSA was held in Poznań. The event attracted 2600 participants from 99 countries.
The award for the largest congress organized in Poland in 2016 was granted the 104th Annual World Dental Congress of FDI. Its 16.000 participants visited the Poznań International Fair on 7-10 September 2016.
Next Polish Congress Ambassadors’ Gala will take place in 2018 in the Earth Hall in Poznań. The event is organized jointly by Poznań Congress Center and Poznań Convention Bureau.
