Exhibition: Birth of Modern City. Poznań in 1918 - 1925.

Museum of History of Poznań invites to the inspiring exhibition of decade of changes happening in capitol of Wielkopolska after 1918.

 

   

 

 

For a spontaneous rebellion, Wielkopolskie Uprising tunred uot to be a huge success. Poland became free country again. Calling of Sejm Dzielnicowy sealed this fact and soon it annouced that Naczelna Rada Ludowa (Supreme People's Council) is the official representation of Poles who want to take their country’s faith in their own hands.

 

 

 

Area of the city doubled, Poznań University was created, as well as Poznań Radio. International Fairs were to be expanded and new districts built. Culture flourished. A lot of social initiatives and plans – all this was going to sustain the European level, on which Poznań already was at that time.

 It is unique opportunity to encounter souvenirs from 20s of last century in Poland! Posters, postcards, maps, videos and more are waiting in Museum of the History of Poznań, located inside the former Town Hall, until February 24th, 2019.

 

 

The cost of visit is the same as the admission to the muzeum: regular ticket 7 zł, reduced ticket 5 zł.

Monday closed

Tuesday - Thursday 9.00 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Friday 12.00 - 9 p.m.

Saturday - Sunday 11.00 a.m. - 6 p.m.
