Polish Congress Ambassadors’ Gala
The Polish Congress Ambassadors’ Gala took place in Kielce on September 25th. Representatives of the science world received diplomas and titles of Honorary Polish Congress Ambassadors. Two of these prestigious distinctions were awarded to Poznań representatives.
The Polish Congress Ambassadors’ Gala concludes another year of the Polish Congress Ambassadors program. The honorees are science people distinguished in the task of organizing prestigious meetings of an international range in Poland. Prof. dr. hab. med. Leszek Romanowski from the Wiktor Dega Orthopaedic - Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital by the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań was this year’s Poznań title winner. Thanks to his efforts, Poznań will play host to the 8th International Poznań Course in Shoulder, Elbow and Hand Surgery (together with the 4th Symposium of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Section of Polish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) in March of 2105, and the 28th “SECEC-ESSSE European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and Elbow” Congress in September 2017.
During the Gala, the results of the competition for the best PCB POT recommended Professional Congress Organiser were announced for the first time in history. The winner was Poznań International Fair (MTP) for organizing the 2013 Climate Change Conference COP19 which, with over 12 thousand participant,s took place in Warsaw National Stadium.
The Gala was organised by Poland Convention Bureau, Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association (Stowarzyszenie Konferencje i Kongresy w Polsce) and Kielce Fair Circle (Grono Targowe Kielce).
